Introduction
Hello, beautiful sisters in Christ! I’m Trish, your fellow Bible Believing Baddie, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a wife, angel mom, firstborn daughter, and medical doctor, I know firsthand how overwhelming life can feel when you’re juggling multiple roles. Between family responsibilities, work demands, and personal dreams, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters—our relationship with God. But I’ve learned that by rooting ourselves in faith, we can find balance, peace, and purpose in every season. Today, I’m sharing three faith-based tips that have helped me navigate life as a woman of God, and I pray they’ll encourage you too.
Tip 1: Start Your Day with God
One of the most transformative habits I’ve adopted is starting my day with God. Before I check my phone, answer emails, or dive into my to-do list, I spend time in prayer and Scripture. This sets the tone for my day and reminds me that God is my source of strength. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (NIV). When we prioritize God, He aligns our hearts and gives us clarity for the day ahead.
How to Do It: Keep a Bible and journal by your bedside. Each morning, read a short passage—I love starting with a Psalm for encouragement—and write down a prayer or reflection. Even 10 minutes can make a huge difference in your day.
Tip 2: Set Boundaries with Grace
As firstborn daughters, many of us are used to being the “responsible one,” always saying yes to everyone’s needs. But I’ve learned that setting boundaries is not only okay—it’s biblical. Jesus often withdrew to pray and rest, even when crowds demanded His attention (Luke 5:16). Setting boundaries allows us to protect our peace and focus on what God has called us to do, not what others expect of us.
How to Do It: Practice saying no with grace. For example, if you’re too stretched to take on another task, you might say, “I’d love to help, but I need to prioritize my family right now—let’s find another way to make this work.” Pray for wisdom to discern what aligns with God’s purpose for your season.
Tip 3: Find Joy in Small Moments
Life can feel like a whirlwind, especially when you’re balancing faith, family, and work. But I’ve found that joy isn’t just in the big moments—it’s in the small, everyday ones where God meets us. Whether it’s a quiet cup of tea while the kids are napping, a kind word from a friend, or a sunset that reminds you of God’s beauty, these moments can refill your spirit. Philippians 4:4 reminds us, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (NIV).
How to Do It: At the end of each day, write down one small moment that brought you joy or reminded you of God’s presence. This practice helps you stay grateful and grounded, no matter how busy life gets.
Closing: You’ve Got This, Sister!
Balancing life as a woman of God isn’t always easy, but with faith as our foundation, we can do it with grace and joy. I hope these tips encourage you to seek God first, set healthy boundaries, and find joy in the journey. I’d love to hear how you’re finding balance in your own life—share your thoughts in the comments or reach out to me directly. Let’s keep walking this faith journey together!
With all the love,
